are an alt-pop duo from London and Oxford, formed when songwriters and university friends Dan Tarbuck (vocals, keys) and Seb Skelly (horns, keys) joined forces after a night out.
Meeting after-hours in a quiet London studio, Dan and Seb sowed the seeds of their curious sound. The unusual combination of Dan’s lively synth production and Seb’s poppy horn hooks resulted in a fresh and exciting soundworld, bound to surprise.
Drawing upon the catchy vocal melodies of Billy Joel, the intriguing harmonies of Sting, the vast soundscapes of Tame Impala and the bombastic horns of The Cat Empire and Madness, their songs explore everything from tender heartbreak to pure euphoria – sometimes as an imagined character, other times reflecting on very real experiences, though the line is often ambiguous.
Tarbuck & Skelly’s self-produced debut EP, “Don't Wanna Wake”, is out now on Spotify and all other major platforms. It will take you on an adventure that twists and turns, but will always guide you home safe and sound.
Buckle up – you're in for a wild ride!
